September Events & Outings

Monday, September 2nd CLOSED FOR THE LABOR DAY HOLIDAY.

Thursday, September 5th, 1-3:30 pm, Wisdom of the Crowd – Aging Well in CR: Mayor Tiffany O'Donnell will join us for the first part of the program to discuss what was learnt from the Dual Facility study on Aging Well in Cedar Rapids. Then stay for a discussion of Horizons' plan to

open a senior center. In this "Wisdom of the Crowd" discussion, we won't just keep you informed—we'll actively seek your valuable insights and ideas. The goal is to harness our collective wisdom to design a senior center that would truly meet our needs and aspirations.

Together, we'll dive into the nuts and bolts that could make Horizons' Senior Center a welcoming, vibrant hub enabling us to live our best lives. Together we will craft a vision that transforms a building into a place filled with heart and soul. A summary of our ideas will be shared with Horizons and our elected representatives. Come be part of this dynamic conversation—your input will help shape a center that

reflects the spirit and needs of our community!
