About Us

 

The Life Enrichment Center (LEC) is a 501c3 nonprofit agency serving Cedar Rapids and Linn County residents aged 55 plus.


Mission


The mission of LEC, open to older adults of all income levels, races, and cultural backgrounds, is to enhance quality of life by providing opportunities for socialization, participation in cultural and entertainment activities, and lifelong learning.


Vision

The vision of LEC is to support older adults in aging gracefully and enjoying a fulfilling life. LEC seeks to be a visible link to other area agencies providing services to improve quality of life for older adults and their families.

Bridge to Opportunities for Older Adults


LEC Bridge to Opportunities programs are offered twice weekly, Monday 1-3:30 pm and Thursdays 9-11:30 am at Refugee City Church (formerly  Four Oaks Bridge Campus), 2100 1st Ave. NE, Cedar Rapid, directly across from Cottage Grove Place and Cottage Grove Ave. Parking and entrance, including handicap ramp, are at the back of the building.
